Pearl Jam Rock The Isle Of Wight

Last night Pearl Jam played the Isle Of Wight Festival headlining the Main Stage.

Also playing yesterday included Big Country, Madness, Jessie J, Stooshe, Tinie Tempah, Biffy Clyro, Magnetic Man, Professor Green, Wretch 32, Katy B, Loick Essien and many more.

Pearl Jam belted out hits including Yellow Ledbetter, Alive, Blood, Got Some, MFC, Hail Hail, Corduroy, Given To Fly, Unthought Known, Last Exit and many more. They also covered The Beatles Rain due to the weather not holding up!

During their set they also paid tribute to The Clash's frontman Joe Strummer saying "He would have loved this place, we were thinking about it on the way here, and its sad to say, it'll be almost 10 years in December he's not been with us." The band then went on to cover Joe Strummer & The Mescaleros' Arms Aloft.

Tonight Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, The Darkness, Ash, The Vaccines, Pulled Apart By Horses, Band Of Skulls, and the legend, the Boss, the almighty Bruce Springsteen Ans The E Street Band. If you didn't manage to get tickets but really want to watch all of those acts then Sky Arts 1 HD, Sky Arts 1 and Sky 3D from 6pm tonight until Midnight tonight.

Jay-Z Tears Up Hackney Marshes

Last night Jay-Z Headlined the first night of Radio 1's Big Hackney Weekend at the Hackney Marshes, and he didn't go down quietly!

Also playing last night across all the stages included Kasabian, Nicki Minaj, Ed Sheeran, Jack White, The Vaccines, Rita Ora, Sean Paul, Flo Rida, Will.i.am, Emeli Sande, Calvin Harris, Swedish House Mafia, Nero and many more.

Jay-Z played many hits including Run This Town, Empire State Of Mind, 99 Problems, Lift Off, No Church In The Wild, Otis and many more. His set also included Special Guests including Kayne West, Rihanna and MIA.

Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers Storm Isle Of Wight Festival

Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers headlined the Main Stage at the Isle Of Wight Festival last night, and it didn't go down quietly!

Despite everyone being stuck in traffic and the traffic hitting national news, everyone had something to look forward to on the Friday if it was Tom Petty, Elbow, Groove Armarda, Example, Noah And The Whale, Lana Del Rey, DJ Fresh, Caro Emerald, Enter Shikar or anyone else playing last night. Feeder opened the Main Stage on Friday and they were also celebrating their 21st anniversary.

Tom Petty belted out classics including Free Fallin', American Girl, Learning To Fly, Refugee and many more. Elbow played some amazing tunes as well including Ground For Divorce, One Day Like This, Open Arms, Mirrorball and many more.

Today taking to the stage includes Pearl Jam, Biffy Clyro, Tinie Tempah, Magnetic Man, Professor Green, Stooshe, Wretch 32, Jessie J, Madness and many more.

The festival will be on Sky Arts 1 HD, Normal Sky Arts 1 and Sky 3D tonight from 6pm to 12pm (Midnight), hosted by Zoe Ball, Joe Wiley, Matt Horne and many more.

Thankfully the weather managed to hold up for last night but with heavy rain predicted for 10pm tonight things may change!

Isle Of Wight Festival Begins?

The Isle Of Wight Festival began last night (Thursday) for campers only, but it hit national news this morning but not for a good reason.

The Isle Of Wight Festival has had caused many traffic delays on the Island, which involved some people sleeping in their cars overnight and being stuck in traffic for 5 hours, this morning problems are still being caused with the traffic gridlocked on Lushington hill. John Giddings the festival's organiser has been directing traffic on the racecourse roundabout.

The reason this started is because all of the campers are coming over from the mainland and trying to get into the festivals car park, but due to all the rain it is completely bogged, so all the traffic have had no where to go so all the traffic has started.

Last night Wightlink's Fishbourne service had 3 Ferries in the Solent waiting to dock, but because of all the queues all the cars coming of the ferry had to stay in the dock, leaving 3 other ferries stuck in the solent because there was no room for all the cars on shore. However Wightlink's Lymington service has not been effected that badly, also Red Funnel hasn't either.

Last night Primal Scream played for the Campers that had managed to get to site, but earlier on in the day after Cerys Matthew's set the Big Top had to be cleared due to safety concerns over the windy and muddy conditions, but it was then reopened just before 9pm.

John Giddings also commented on Isle Of Wight Radio this morning that they have put down woodchips, gravel and it had just sunk in the mud. Some people had been waiting 9 hours in their cars to get on site. School buses on the Island had to be cancelled due to children would be arriving to late to school, and last night on the Island some school children did not arrive home until 7:40pm.

This morning John Giddings has advised people coming from the mainland to leave their cars on the mainland and travel by foot to the Island to try to break down the amount of cars coming to the Island. It was also said that Tractors were used to tow cars onto the bogged car park, and John Giddings has been using his own muscle power to pull cars onto the sight.

But John Giddings has apologised for the past 24 hours of traffic. Someone said that she left her home in Sheffield at 11am Yesterday (Thursday) and is still not on the site at the moment. On the floating bridge in Cowes there is a delay of at least 2 hours.

It is also thought that the population of the Isle Of Wight will rise quite considerably this weekend.

Some people have decided due to the traffic to ditch the Festival and try and sell their tickets on, but some people have turned it around and made it positive saying 'It wouldn't be a festival if it wasn't raining' and people on site are having a great time.

But if you are not going but want to watch the festival then fear not the whole weekend will be broadcast on Sky Arts 1 from 6pm - 12pm (Midnight) a whole 6 hours of coverage.

Download Festival has gone out with a bang, with all might Black Sabbath finishing things of for this years Download.

Also playing last night Soundgarden, Rise Against, Megadeth, Dropkick Murphys and many more. Rise Against headlined the Zippo Encore stage, and Black Sabbath the Main Stage with lead singer Ozzy Osbourne.

Black Sabbath played loads of songs that had the crowd in the plams of their hands, songs they played include Iron Man, War Pigs, Children Of The Grave, Paranoid, The Wizard, Black Sabbath and many more.

Over all the whole weekend was a great success with all the acts performing failing to disappoint, wheather they where on the Main Stage or The Pepsi Max Stage.

Highlights from the weekend included The Prodigy, Black Sabbath, Metallica, You Me At Six, Rise Against, Slash, Tenacious D, Biffy Clyro, Soundgarden, Chase & Status and many more.

Capital Summertime Ball Tears Up Wembley Stadium

Last night (Saturday) Capital Summertime Ball took place in the legendary Wembley Stadium, the headliners Coldplay went on first and completely rocked Wembley and had everyone bouncing.

Others acts included Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, Flo Rida, Pitbull, Rita Ora, Conor Maynard, Jessie J, Cover Drive, Ed Sheeran, Example, Kelly Clarkson, Usher, Lawson, The Wanted and others.

The night also had Surprise Guests which included Cheryl Cole, Justin Bieber invited Carly Rae Jepsen and  Dizzie Rascal (A Surprise Act) introduced Cheryl Cole.

Coldplay went on first and completely owned the stage and had the whole crowd singing along and bouncing. Katy Perry closed the show and again had everyone singing along, but at the end of her performance she did a cover of Queen's We Are The Champions.

Metallica Go Down A Strom A Download

Metallica headlined Download last night (Saturday) and it didn't go down quietly!

Metallica rocked Download festival last night, and completely tore up Donington Park, with other great acts before them across all the different stages including: Biffy Clyro, You Met At Six, Tenacios D, Kids In Glass Houses and many more.

When Metallica played they played many hits including: Master Of Puppets, Hit The Lights, Of Wolf And Man, Sad But True, Seek & Destroy and many more. The crowd also failed to disappoint with an amazing turnout, and they were rocking away with Metallica!

Tonight (|Sunday) Black Sabbath are headlining and other acts include Soundgarden, Mega Deth, Rise Against,  Dropkick Murphys and many more.

The Prodigy Rocks Download

Last night Donington Park went mad as thousands of rockers turned out to see The Prodigy, Chase & Status, Slash F.t Miles Kennedy, Machine Head, Nightwish and many more.

The Prodigy rocked the stage performing Invaders Must Die, Nitehawk, Run, Take Me To Hospital, Out Of Space and many more. Also Chase & Status rocked the stage performing many songs that had the whole crowd raving.

Tonight Metallica, Biffy Clyrio, Tenacious D, You Me At Six, Kids In Glass Houses and many other amazing bands will take to the stage.

Queen's Diamond Jubilee Concert Goes Down A Storm

The Queen's Diamond Jubilee is one of the most important events going on this year, and to celebrate Gary Barlow has organised a concert which is taking place outside Buckingham Palace with a Royal audience!

Amongst the Line-Up was Sir Tom Jones, Sir Paul McCartney, Robbie Williams, Jessie J, Ed Sheeran, Gary Barlow, Alife Boe, Madness, Will.I.Am, Kylie Minogue, JLS, Stevie Wonder, Cliff Richard, Sir Elton John and many more.

The concert was great with many people watching it all around the world, from people lining the Mall to see it Live, or watching it on TV everyone felt like they were a part of it!

Highlights of the concert would include, Madness singing from the top of Buckingham Palace, Paul McCartney and an epic firework display, Buckingham Palace being lit up and many more.

But for this special event the stage was the Fountain outside Buckingham Palace, which many people have seen but not quite like it was that night.

The event concluded with Prince Charles making a speech, unfortunately Price Philip was not there due to a bladder infection, but during Charles's speech he said if everyone shouted he just may be able to here them from the hospital.

Thousands Of People Downloading To Donington Park

This weekend thousands of people will be downloading to Donington Park for Download festival, with a whole host of amazing rockers due to take the stage over this weekend!

Download is one of the most iconic UK rock festivals, and this weekend Donington Park will be transformed from a Park into a full on festival.

Many hardcore rockers have braved the rain and mud, to see all their favourite bands which include, The Prodigy, Metallica, Black Sabbath, Chase & Status, Biffy Clyro, Soundgarden, You Me At Six and many more.

But what makes this year different from any others is that Download will be celebrating its 10th year.

Bestival Announces Florence + The Machine

Bestival have announced their final headliner, which will take the Friday night headliner slot.

Florence + The Machine have been announced as the Saturday night headliner, they will be joining Saturday Night headliners New Order, and Sunday Night headliner the legendary Stevie Wonder.

Florence + The Machine have played the Isle Of Wight before they've Bestival many times and the Isle Of Wight in 2010.

Bestival also have many other acts announced including Emeli Sande, Nero, Sigur Ros, The XX, Friendly Fires, Two Door Cinema Club, Hot Chip, Orbital, Rizzle Kicks, Earth Wind & Fire Experience, The Cuban Brothers and many more.
