Glastonbury 2014 Sells Out In Record Time

Glastonbury 2014 has sold out in record time, see how quick below.

Glastonbury sold all its 120,000 tickets in a record 1 hour and 27 minutes, however it wasn't as easy as it sounds.

See Tickets (The website selling Glastonbury 2014 tickets) apologised to customers on Twitter as they were having 'technical difficulties' with the website. They said that the issues had led to 'a very difficult hour', they then later tweeted that the site had stabilised.

See Tickets also said that roughly 3,000 tickets were being sold every minute. Prices for Glastonbury 2014 had also been increased by £10 making each ticket £210, however you could put down a £50 deposit before settling their bill in April.

Coach Packages were also available and these were sold three days earlier than normal tickets, but the 15,000 of these tickets also sold out in less than a hour.

Michael & Emily Eavis said that they were 'blown away' with the amount of people that were buying tickets, and they added that they are 'genuinely sorry' for people that weren't lucky enough to receive tickets.

However... if you weren't lucky enough to get a ticket to Glastonbury 2014, but still want to go there is due to be a resale of any unsold tickets in April next year; and Festival Fans will provide links closer to the time if you wish to purchase those tickets, but it is likely that they will also be snapped up quickly.

Obviously it wasn't going to be long before rumours begun about the 2014 event which include David Bowie (Bookies Favourite), Foo Fighters, Elbow, Depeche Mode, Fleetwood Mac, The Stone Roses and some unlikely rumours including Oasis, Prince, and AC/DC. To see more rumours click here.

Last years event included headliners Arctic Monkeys, The Rolling Stones, Mumford & Sons and others including Dizzee Rascal, Primal Scream, Portishead, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, The XX, Chic featuring Nile Rogers, Chase & Status, The Lumineers, Of Monsters & Men, Ben Howard, Vampire Weekend and many more.

Were you lucky enough to get tickets? Did you attend last years event? Did you just miss out on tickets? Have you got a feeling about an act for next years event? Have you heard a rumour for next years event? We would love to hear from you, just drop us comment below!
