Bon Jovi brought this years Isle Of Wight Festival to a close last night (16th June 2013) as he headlined the Main Stage.
However Bon Jovi wasn't the only act to play yesterday (16th June 2013) other acts that played included The Script, Blondie, I Am Kloot, Paloma Faith, Imperial Teen, The Boomtown Rats, Newton Faulkner, Imagine Dragons, Kodaline, Steve Harley & The Cockney Rebel, Kids In Glass Houses and many more.
Bon Jovi's legendary headline performance included songs such as Livin' On A Prayer, You Give Love A Bad Name, Because We Can, It's My Life, Bad Medicine, Raise Your Hands, Who Says You Can't Go Home and many more.
Bon Jovi arrived onto the island via a helicopter which landed near to the festival site, then they received a police escort to the festival site. (Right the helicopter, and Bon Jovi once they had landed.)
The Boomtown Rats also reformed for their first performance in 27 years at the Isle Of Wight Festival 2013, with Sir Bob Geldof introduced the band by saying:
'We are the Boomtown Rats, we are marvellous, we are magnificent, we are the living Mount Rushmore!'
Their performance included hits such as Rat Trap, and I Don't Like Mondays.
The Script also performed on the Main Stage, after the last time they played was in 2011, and also rained heavily when they played. They also got the crowd to sing along to Man Who Can't Be Moved as this happened when they played in 2011, and Danny said it was 'An amazing feeling', when he got the crowd to sing along again he said that it was 'Better than last time (2011)'.
Rain was also forecast for yesterday (Sunday 16th June 2013) leaving lots of festival goers wary of the rain however the sun stayed throughout all of Sunday, apart from a light shower at the start of the day.
Other acts that played over the weekend include headliners The Killers and The Stone Roses, other acts include Emeli Sande, Paul Weller, Rizzle Kicks, Bloc Party, The Maccabees, Ben Howard, Jake Bugg, fun., Ellie Goulding, Bastille, Little Mix, Lawson, Palma Violets and many more.
