The event was in its first year this year (find out more below) and had already confirmed acts such as Professor Green, 5ive, Gabrielle Aplin, Stooshe, and The Strypes.
Summer Sets On The Beach 2013 has been cancelled due to poor ticket sales, therefore the event will not go ahead this year and everyone that has bought tickets for the event will be refunded and are advised to contact the ticket agent.
This statement was issued on their website:
'Done and Dusted the event organisers of Summer Sets on the Beach are extremely disappointed to announce that this year's event will now not go ahead.
A number of contributing factors have lead to the cancellation, not least being the tough economic climate resulting in poor ticket sales.
The organisers would like to thank North Somerset Council and everyone who has supported the event. It is with great difficulty and disappointment this decision has had to be made.
Ticket holders will naturally be fully refunded.
Please contact your ticket agent.'
The event has taken over from T4 On The Beach after T4 was axed last December (2012), therefore the organisers of T4 On The Beach found created a new event called Summer Sets On The Beach, if you would like to read more about that then click here.
