2013 Advent Calendar Day 21 - T In The Party Can Party Longer

T In The Park have been given permission for music to continue into the early hours.

Local councillors voted and T In The Park have been given permission to allow music to continue until 1am, therefore by doing this they are allowing the 2 acts before the headliner to also perform in the darkness.

T In The Park 2014 is due to take place from Friday 11th July- Sunday 13th July 2014.

It used to be until midnight however Perth and Kinross Council’s licensing committee today agreed to the hour-long extension for the Saturday evening which organisers hope will attract more top international acts to next year’s festival.

The event manager Colin Roger said this about the extension:
"This request for a variation to the licence is because we have the opportunity to bring two international headliner artists to the T in the Park line-up in a co-headliner format. “To achieve this both acts would need to perform in darkness which is why we have requested this extension of the operating times.

Last month the Arctic Monkeys were confirmed as the first act and they will also be headlining the Friday Night of T In The Park 2014, to read more about that and see the interesting way in which they were announced then click here. There are also rumours surrounding the 2014 event and to see those rumours then click here.

Tickets for T In The Park 2014 are not currently on sale however when they become on sale Festival Fans will bring you the appropriate links to purchase tickets.
