Kings Of Leon have been confirmed as the Sunday Night headliner for the Isle Of Wight Festival 2014 along with a whole host of other acts.
Kings Of Leon have been confirmed to be closing the Isle Of Wight Festival 2014 when they headline the Main Stage on the Sunday Night. Other acts confirmed include Travis, Clean Bandit, The Specials, John Newman, Deap Valley, Nina Nesbitt, The Horrors, Gorgon City, The Strypes, The Polyphonic Spree, From The Jam, Neon Jungle, Swim Deep, Chloe Howl, The Selecter, Duke Dumont, Peace, July Talk, The Move, Dappy, Lawson and The Vamps. Isle Of Wight Festival 2014 starts on Thursday 12th June 2014 and finishes on Sunday 15th June 2014.
Kings Of Leon have been confirmed as the headliner for the Sunday Night at this years Isle Of Wight Festival. Their headline performance is a UK Festival Exclusive! Kings Of Leon have previously played the event in 2011 when they headlined the Friday Main Stage. Kings of Leon’s Grammy Nominated 6th studio album 'Mechanical Bull’ entered the UK charts at number 1 and now they’re taking the top slot on the legendary Main Stage on Sunday 15th June.
Travis who are also performing at the 2014 event said this about performing at the event:
"We’re made up that we are making a trip back to the Isle of Wight, last time was a top gig. There's a lot of rock and roll history gone down on that little island and it's great to be a part of it again."
John Giddings the festival's organiser said this about the announcements:
"It’s a rock 'n’ roll weekend! Biffy Clyro, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Kings of Leon- rock the Wight!"
Previously confirmed acts include Friday Night headliners Biffy Clyro (In a UK Festival Exclusive), Saturday Night Headliners Red Hot Chili Peppers (In A UK & Ireland Festival Exclusive), other acts previously announced include Passeneger, The 1975, The Waterboys, Calvin Harris and Rudimental.
