Bon Jovi have been announced as the Sunday Night headliner at next years Isle Of Wight Festival.

The famous New Jersey band will have the Isle Of Wight Festival audience singing along to hits like Living On A Prayer, Always, It's My Life & Wanted Dead Or Alive. It has also been confirmed that Bon Jovi would be closing the festival on Sunday night.

When the announcement was made about Bon Jovi playing the Isle Of Wight Festival he (Jon Bon Jovi) also said that them playing the Isle Of Wight, would be a UK Festival exclusive. This is along with confirmed yesterday The Stone Roses, who also said them playing the Isle Of Wight is a UK Festival exclusive as well.

On the Isle Of Wight Festival's Official Website John Giddings, the festival's organiser said this:
' I can't imagine a better rock band with more hits to close our Sunday Night. The Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney and Bruce Springsteen are hard acts to follow- but I think they'll do it!'

Also on the Isle Of Wight Festival's website, Jon Bon Jovi added this:
'The Isle Of Wight Festival is legendary and we're excited to join in the long tradition of Rock 'n' Roll history. We are honoured to be headliners on the Main Stage Sunday night. This will mark our first visit to the island and I expect it will prove to be a highlight of our tour and of 2013.'

The announcement of Bon Jovi playing came after weeks of speculation about them playing the event, after in an interview with The Daily Star Bon Jovi let slip that he would be playing the festival. For more on that story click here.

The Isle Of Wight Festival's Official Twitter page tweeted the good news this morning:
'SUNDAY NIGHT HEADLINER.... @bonjovi Tickets on general sale tomorrow morning at 9am isleofwightfestival.com'

The Stone Roses Rumored For Isle Of Wight Festival 2013 And Glastonbury2013

THE STONE ROSES HAVE NOW BEEN CONFIRMED FOR THE ISLE OF WIGHT FESTIVAL 2013 FOR MORE CLICK HERE!

The Stone Roses are rumoured for 2013's Isle Of Wight Festival and Glastonbury.
It was rumoured on The Daily Star website that 'Next summer they'll headline Glastonbury and Isle Of Wight Festivals'. On eFestival.co.uk it says 'Our understanding is that things are not as solid as they are reporting, however our belief is that The Stone Roses are in the frame to headline both festivals'.

But it is possible that The Stone Roses may play Glastonbury 2013 as they were due to play the 25th Anniversary of the festival in 1995, but cancelled a week before and were replaced by Pulp. So The Stone Roses owe Glastonbury a performance!?

It is also likely that they many play the Isle Of Wight Festival as the Daily Star reports, because John Giddings (The Isle Of Wight Festival's curator) was interviwed by eFestival.co.uk, and they asked the question if he was already considering next years (2013) headliners, and he said this:

'In March this year somebody called me up and asked me if I was interested in booking their headline act for next year, and I said yes and pencilled in the date. But, let's see after we get this one done and over, and the summer out the way, let's see what happens, because people often change their plans, their line-ups, whatever. So, never tempt fate.'

The Stones Roses Are The First Confirmed Isle Of Wight Festival Headliner

The Stone Roses have been announced to headline the Friday night of next years Isle Of Wight Festival.

The famous Manchester band, who have had hits such as Fools Gold and She Bangs The Drum, will be headlining the first night of the Isle Of Wight Festival next year. The Stone Roses also added that this will be their ONLY UK Festival appearance of 2013.

The Stone Roses reunited last year and had sell out shows at Manchester's Heaton Park, before they then toured the world, as they mesmerised fans in Europe, Asia and all over the world.

The news of The Stone Roses was tweeted this morning; the Isle Of Wight Festival twitter page tweeted this:

'The One..The Only.. @thestoneroses #IOWFEST2013 '

The Stone Roses Official Twitter also celebrated the news with a tweet:

'We will headline @isleofwightfest on 14/06/13. This will be our only UK Festival in 2013. Tickets go on sale 28/11/12 from isleofwightfestival.com'

And yet still that was not the only person! Festival orginiser tweeted from his personal account this:

'the wait is over! it's @thestoneroses @isleofwightfest 2013.. we are the resurrection..'

John Giddings also celebrated the news by talking about it, this is from the Isle Of Wight Festival's Official Website:

"When you talk about the soundtrack of our lives, the Stone Roses are embedded in it. I am so proud to get them to our island- they will kick the weekend off with a bang."

But the headliners don't stop there, oh no, another headliner will be announced tomorrow morning at 8am, which was also announced via the Isle Of Wight Festival's Official Twitter:

'At IOW HQ we don't want to announce just 1 headliner, we think you deserve more! Tune in tomorrow at 8am for another cracking headliner!!'

Stay Festival Fans for more announcements for Isle Of Wight Festival 2013, and more festivals! The last headliner for the 2013 Festival is thought to be announced on the 17th December 2012.
