Fleetwood Mac WILL NOT Play Glastonbury In 2014

Michael Eavis (Glastonbury Organiser) has confirmed that Fleetwood Mac will not be playing at the 2014 event.

Since Glastonbury 2013 finished Fleetwood Mac have always been the strongest rumour surrounding the 2014 event, however Michael Eavis Glastonbury's Organiser has put a stop to the rumours when he said in an interview with The Guardian (To read that interview then click here) the following:
"We're hoping to get them for 2015, but not next year"

Glastonbury 2014 will take place from Wednesday 25th - Sunday 29th June 2014.

Therefore putting an end to the strongest rumour for the 2014 event.

Arcade Fire have recently been confirmed as the Friday Night headliner for Glastonbury 2013, leaving Saturday and Sunday night headliners yet to be confirmed. However there are more rumours for the 2014 event and they include Dolly Parton, Elbow AC/DC, David Bowie, Rihanna, The Stone Roses, Metallica and many more.

Tickets for the 2014 event are SOLD OUT however there will be a resale of any unsold tickets in Spring 2014 and Festival Fans will give appropriate links to be able to buy those tickets.

Radio 1's Big Weekend changes location every year, and this year it went to Londonderry in Ireland.

Capital's Summertime Ball - 9th June 2013

Isle Of Wight Festival - 14th June - 16th June 2013
The Bootown Rats performed their first performance in 22 years at the Isle Of Wight Festival this year.

Hard Rock Calling - 29th - 30th June 2013
This was Hard Rock Calling's final year, and they went out with a bang.

Latitude went down a storm with 3 amazing headline performances.

Global Gathering - 26th - 27th July 2013:
Global Gathering 2013 was an amazing weekend of huge dance acts.

Acts included Plan B, Disclosure, Rudimental, Rita Ora, Wiley, DJ Fresh, Nicky Romero, Example, Afrojack, Katy B, Annie Mac, Netsky, Carl Cox, Sub Focus, Jaguar Skills, Andy C, Modestep, 2ManyDJs, Major Look, Ferry Corsten, Bingo Players, Danny Howard, Steve Aoki, B Traits, and many more.

Unfortunately there are no pictures from Global gathering 2013.


Camp Bestival - 1st - 4th August 2013
Camp Bestival one of the most family friendly festivals in the UK went a treat with everyone.

Acts included Labrinth, Richard Hawley, Levellers, Gabrille Aplin, Mark Owen, DJ Fresh, The Farm, The 1975, London Grammar, The Cuban Brothers, Tom Odell, Billy Bragg, I Am Kloot, Lissie, Toots And The Maytals, Kid Creole And The Coconuts, John Cooper Clarke, Beardyman, The Correspondents, The Wurzels, and many more.

Unfortunately there are no pictures from Camp Bestival 2013.

Oxegen - 3rd - 4th August 2013:
Oxegen was away for a break in 2012 however came back with a bang for 2013!

Acts included Calvin Harris, David Guetta, Example, Chase & Status, Alesso, Snoop Dogg, Labrinth, 2ManyDJs, Nero, Naughty Boy, Rita Ora, Nicky Romero, Iggy Azalea, Erol Alkan, Wretch 32, Devlin, Rizzle Kicks, Pitbull, Duke Dumont, Crookers, Original Rudeboys and many more.

Unfortunately there are no pictures from Oxegen 2013.


V Festival -  17th - 18th August 2013:
V Festival 2013 included 2 headline acts both of which were festival exclsuives.

Bestival saw one of the biggest acts in the world headlining the Sunday Night.

The 3 headliners for the 2013 event were Fatboy Slim, Snoop Dogg, and one of the biggest names in the music industry and in a UK Festival Exclusive, and playing his first ever UK Festival... Elton John! Other acts included M.I.A, Franz Ferdinand, The Flaming Lips, The Knife, Bombay Bicycle Club, Tom Odell, Chic featuring Nile Rogers, Tom Odell, Bastille, Wu-Tang Clan, DJ Fresh, Disclosure, Jessie Ware, Rudimental and many more.

2013 Advent Calendar Day 24 - Glastonbury 2013 Highlights

Here we take a look back at the biggest festival in the world including acts, setlists and pictures.

Glastonbury 2013 included headliners Arctic Monkeys, The Rolling Stones and Mumford & Sons. Other acts included Dizzee Rascal, Primal Scream, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Vampire Weekend, Portishead, Chase & Status, The XX, Chic featuring Nile Rogers, Public Enemy, Bobby Womack, The Vaccines, Elvis Costello, Kenny Rogers, Ben Howard, Professor Green, Foals, Example, Two Door Cinema Club, Smashing Pumpkins and many more.

Friday - 28th June 2013:
Arctic Monkeys headlined the first night of the world most famous festival and Portishead headlined the Other Stage. Other acts that performed on the Friday included Dizzee Rascal, The Vaccines, Foals, Alt-J, Chic featuring Nile Rogers, The Lumineers, Jake Bugg, Tame Impala, Seasick Steve, The Horrors, Bastille and many more.

The Arctic Monkeys headline set included performances of songs such as Do I Wanna Know?, 505, R U Mine?, Don't Sit Down 'Cause I Moved Your Chair, Brick By Brick, I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor, Mad Sounds, When The Sun Goes Down, Mardy Bum, Cornerstone, Brainstorm, Dancing Shoes, Teddy Picker, Fluorescent Adolescent and many more.

Saturday - 29th June 2013:
The Rolling Stones headlined the Pyramid Stage on Saturday Night, other acts that played included Primal Scream, Chase & Status, Elvis Costello, Ben Howard, F*** Buttons, Hurts, Example, Two Door Cinema Club, Noah And The Whale, Alabama Shakes, Billy Bragg, Everything Everything, Laura Mvula, Daughter, Maverick Sabre, HAIM, Gabrielle Aplin and many more.

It was the first time that The Rolling Stones had ever played Glastonbury Festival and they headlined the Pyramid Stage and they failed to disappoint belting out hits like, Paint It Black, (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction, Start Me Up, You Can't Always Get What You Want, Brown Sugar, Glastonbury Girl, Doom & Gloom, Miss You, 2,000 Light Years From Home and many more.

Sunday - 30th June 2013:
Mumford & Sons headlined the final night of Glastonbury 2013, however they weren't the only act to play on the Sunday, other acts included Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Vampire Weekend, Kenny Rogers, Sir Bruce Forsyth, The XX, Smashing Pumpkins, Editors, Of Monsters And Men, I Am Kloot, Public Image Limited, Laura Mvula, Steve Mason, Cat Power, James Blake, Jessie Ware, Tom Odell, Lianne La Havas, Bobby Womack, and many more.

Mumford & Sons closed Glastonbury 2013 on Sunday (30th June 2013) their mega headline set included The Cave, I Will Wait, Babel, Lovers' Eyes, Little Lion Man, Whispers In The Dark, Lover Of The Light, Holland Road, Awake My Soul, Thistle And Weeds and many more. They closed their headline set on the Pyramid Stage with a special version of With A Little Help From My Friends, in which First Aid Kit, The Vaccines, The Staves and Vampire Weekend joined them on stage to sing the song.
