Arctic Monkeys Rock First Night Of Glastonbury 2013

The Arctic Monkeys have rocked the first night of this years (2013) Glastonbury.

The Arctic Monkeys headlined the Pyramid Stage last night (28th June 2013), other acts that played over the course of Friday included Portishead, Dizzee Rascal, The Vaccines, Professor Green, Foals, alt-J, Rita Ora, Jake Bugg, The Lumineers, Chic featuring Nile Rogers, The Horrors, Kodaline, Crystal Castles, Bastille, Seasick Steve, Rizzle Kicks, Bastille and many more.

Friday also featured a unscheduled, surprise from Beady Eye, who played at 11am on the Other Stage.

Arctic Monkeys headline set included hits such as I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor, Don't Sit Down 'Cause I've Moved Your Chair, Dancing Shoes, 505 - And the Arctic Monkeys were joined on stage by Miles Kane for the performance of 505, Brick By Brick, Do Me A Favour, Mardy Bum, When The Sun Goes Down, Cornerstone and many more.

The Arctic Monkeys opened with their brand new single Do I Wanna Know, which was the first time that song has ever been played in the UK, likewise with R U Mine?, and Mad Sounds. Also during their performance it was lead singer Alex Turner's Mums Birthday, and he got the whole Glastonbury crowd singing her happy birthday.

How To Watch This Years (2013) Glastonbury Festival

This article is about how you can watch this years mega Glastonbury Festival.

This year's Glastonbury line up includes Arctic Monkeys, The Rolling Stones, Mumford & Sons, Dizzee Rascal, Primal Scream, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, The Vaccines, Vampire Weekend, Portished, Chase & Status, Example, The XX, Public Enemy, Chic Featuring Nile Rogers, Bobby Womack, Newton Faulkner, The Horrors, Bastille, The Courtneers, Crystal Castles, Hurts, Kodaline, Gabrielle Aplin, Jake Bugg, Ben Howard and many more.

This years coverage will be available on all different platforms which are TV, Smartphone, Radio, Tablet, and PC.

The coverage will be from the 6 key music stages, which are Pyramid Stage, Other Stage, John Peel Stage, West Holts Stage, Park Stage and the BBC Introducing Stage. You will be able to catch coverage from those different stages on you PC, Mobile, Tablet, and Connected TV.

TV Coverage will kick off on Friday 28th June 2013 and will continue throughout the weekend, and you will be able to catch coverage on BBC One, BBC Two, BBC Three, and BBC Four; and if you miss the coverage over the weekend then all coverage will be available to catch up with on BBC iPlayer for 7 days after the broadcast. You'll also be able to catch up on all full sets from the main stages.

You will also be able to listen to Glastonbury on the Radio from Friday 28th June 2013 across the weekend, and coverage will be on Radio 1, 1Xtra, Radio 2, and 6 Music.

Also on TV there will be the option of the red button streams, this will offer more content and highlights from Glastonbury 2013, and if you have Virgin Media's TiVo service then the BBC's Connected Red Button Service will be available.

You will also be able to watch Live coverage online from Glastonbury 2013, if you would like to watch Glastonbury live (When its on) then click here.

Presenting on TV on BBC 2 are Lauren Laverne, Mark Radcliffe, and Jo Whiley.
Presenting on TV on BBC 3 are Greg James, Gemma Cairney and Jen Long.
Presenting on TV on BBC 4 is Craig Charles. However BBC 4's coverage will add context to the event through documentaries, archive and performances.

Presenting on Radio 1 & 1Xtra are Nick Grimshaw, Zane Lowe, B Traits, Target, Huw Stephens and David Rodigan.

Bon Jovi Brings The Isle Of Wight Festival 2013 To A Close - Pictures

Bon Jovi brought this years Isle Of Wight Festival to a close last night (16th June 2013) as he headlined the Main Stage.

However Bon Jovi wasn't the only act to play yesterday (16th June 2013) other acts that played included The Script, Blondie, I Am Kloot, Paloma Faith, Imperial Teen, The Boomtown Rats, Newton Faulkner, Imagine Dragons, Kodaline, Steve Harley & The Cockney Rebel, Kids In Glass Houses and many more.

Bon Jovi's legendary headline performance included songs such as Livin' On A Prayer, You Give Love A Bad Name, Because We Can, It's My Life, Bad Medicine, Raise Your Hands, Who Says You Can't Go Home and many more.

Bon Jovi arrived onto the island via a helicopter which landed near to the festival site, then they received a police escort to the festival site. (Right the helicopter, and Bon Jovi once they had landed.)

The Boomtown Rats also reformed for their first performance in 27 years at the Isle Of Wight Festival 2013, with Sir Bob Geldof introduced the band by saying:
'We are the Boomtown Rats, we are marvellous, we are magnificent, we are the living Mount Rushmore!'
Their performance included hits such as Rat Trap, and I Don't Like Mondays.

The Script also performed on the Main Stage, after the last time they played was in 2011, and also rained heavily when they played. They also got the crowd to sing along to Man Who Can't Be Moved as this happened when they played in 2011, and Danny said it was 'An amazing feeling', when he got the crowd to sing along again he said that it was 'Better than last time (2011)'.

Rain was also forecast for yesterday (Sunday 16th June 2013) leaving lots of festival goers wary of the rain however the sun stayed throughout all of Sunday, apart from a light shower at the start of the day.

Other acts that played over the weekend include headliners The Killers and The Stone Roses, other acts include Emeli Sande, Paul Weller, Rizzle Kicks, Bloc Party, The Maccabees, Ben Howard, Jake Bugg, fun., Ellie Goulding, Bastille, Little Mix, Lawson, Palma Violets and many more.

Rammstein closed the final night of Download Festival 2013 in a spectacular style.

Other acts that played yesterday (16th June 2013) include Thirty Seconds To Mars, The Gaslight Anthem, Limp Bizkit, A Day To Remember, Airbourne, Ghost, Modestep, Stone Sour, Parkway Drive and many more.

Rammstein's performance included songs such as Sonne, Pussy, Ich Will, Mein Herz Brennt, Keine Lust, Du Hast and many more. Also headlining the Zippo Encore Stage were Limp Bizkit.

A Killer Performance By The Killers At The Isle Of Wight Festival 2013 - Pictures

The Killers gave a killer performance when they headlined the Main Stage of this years Isle Of Wight Festival.

Other acts that performed included Sub Focus, Bloc Party, The Maccabees, Ben Howard, Little Mix, Bastile, Lawson, Laura Mvula, Modestep, Monsta, Willy Moon, Willy Mason, Tank Trap, Ian Hunter & The Rant Band and many more.

The Killers headline performance was definitely worth the wait last night as they performed hits such as Human, Mr. Brightside, Runaways,  Somebody Told Me, Smile Like You Mean it, Read My Mind, All These Things That I've Done and many more. They also performed When You Were Young which was also  a firework finale to the night.

Iron Maiden Tear Up Download Festival 2013 - Pictures

Iron Maiden headlined the Main Stage at Download Festival 2013 last night (15th June 2013).

However Iron Maiden weren't the only acts that played yesterday, other acts included Enter Sikari, Queens Of The Stone Age, Motorhead, Jimmy Eat World, Thunder, LIT, The Hives, Rat Attack, Empress, Karnivool, Hardcore Superstar and many more.

Iron Maiden's headline performance failed to disappoint as they belted out hits including Running Free, Moonchild, Fear Of The Dark, Aces High, The Trooper, Run To The Hills and many more. However Iron Maiden also performed Monty Pythons Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life.

Tonight's (16th June 2013) acts include headliners Rammstein, Thirty Seconds To Mars, Limp Bizkit, A Day To Remember, The Gaslight Anthem, Stone Sour, Satyricon, Modestep, Coal Chamber and many more.

The Stone Roses Close The First Night Of The Isle Of Wight Festival 2013

The Stone Roses headlined the Main Stage last night (14th June 2013), while Rizzle Kicks headlined the Big Top.

The Stone Roses headlined the Main Stage other acts that peformed yesterday include Emeli Sande, Paul Weller, Rizzle Kicks, Ellie Goulding, Jake Bugg, Delilah, Fun., Lianne La Havas, Palma Violets, Everything Everything, T'Pau and many more.

The Stones Roses mega headline set, which was a UK Festival exclusive included songs that included Fools Gold, I Wanna Be Adored, I Am The Resurrection, Waterfall, Don't Stop and many more. Example & DJ Wire were tearing up the brand new Dance Tent into the early hours of this morning (Saturday 15th June).

The Isle Of Wight Festival is also being streamed LIVE online below is the acts and times that are being streamed (On Saturday 15th June 2013) and a link to the live stream.
