Capital Summertime Ball Annouces Full Line-Up

Capital Summertime Ball has announced it full Line-Up of only 11 acts, but those acts are some of Music's biggest names.

The Line-Up is: Coldplay, Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, Jessie J, The Wanted, Flo Rida, Ed Sheeran, Pitbull, Kelly Clarkson, Usher and Example. For the one day event at Wembley Stadium.

Capital FM hosts the event and they have failed to dissapoint with some of the biggest names to date, Capital FM have already said it is one of the biggest and best Line-Ups Ever!!

The festival has been going since 2009 and in its time it has had acts including Rihanna, Calvin Harris, Dizzie Rascal, JLS, The Saturdays, Lionel Riche, Ellie Goulding, Tine Tempah, Labrith, Ke$ha, Jason Derulo, Will.i.am, Esmee Denters, Sean Kingston, Florence & The Machine, Katy B, Cee Lo Green, LMFAO, Ne-Yo, Mike Posner, Nicole Scherzinger, Enrique Iglesias, Jennifer Lopez and many more.

Capital FM also do a Winter Edition of the Summertime Ball, called the Jinglebell Ball which is held at The 02 Arena which has been going since 2008 and has icluded performace from The Black Eyed Peas, Lady Gaga, Janet Jackson, Kylie Minogue, Rihanna, Miley Cyrus, Shakira, Olly Murs, Calvin Harris, Emeli Sande and many more.

But unlike it's sister Festival Capital Summertime Ball the Jinglebell Ball is a 2 day event. It's no surprise that both these 2 Festivals have had lot's of attention, and when the 2012 Summertime Ball Line-Up was being announced #CapitalSTB was the 8th most trending thing on Twitter (Globally).

Ed Sheeran commented on his spot at this years Summertime Ball saying its one of the biggest Gigs he will ever play!

Because this is at Wembley Stadium the capacity is 80,000, but with an amazing Line-Up like this it is now surprise that less than 48 hours after going on general sale tickets were (and still are) Sold Out! But if you listen to Capital FM you still have the chance to Win tickets!

Tine Tempah Hopes To Get A Global Gathering

Tine Tempah has been confirmed to headline the Sunday at this years Global Gathering along with a whole host of brilliant acts!

Rihanna Heading For Hackney

Rihanna has been confirmed as the Sunday Night headliner for Radio 1's Big Hackney Weekend, along with a lot more acts including Jay-Z who's wife Beyonce has recently given birth.

Other acts announced include Tine Tempah, Ed Sheeran, Florence + The Machine, Jessie J, Swedish House Mafia, Example, Chase & Status, Plan B, Deadmau 5, Will.i.am, David Guetta, Professor Green, Leona Lewis, Calvin Harris, Rizzle Kicks, Professor Green, Labrinth, Dappy, Lana Del Rey, Magnetic Man, Flo Rida and many more.

The thing that is different about Radio 1's Big Weekend is that every year it is in a different location, like this year it will be taking place in Hackney to celebrate the Olympics, last year it was in Carlisle, Bangor, Swindon, Maidstone and many other places.

Also another good thing about it moving every year is that Big Acts get to play in smaller towns and cities, like last year Lady Gaga played Carlisle, Madonna in Maidstone, Snow Patrol in Swindown, Alicia Keys in Bagnor and many more acts played in smaller towns and cities!

With money tight at the moment all some people want it something's to be free, and heres where Radio 1's Big Weekend comes into place, Radio 1's Big Weekend is a FREE festival but you have to apply for tickets, but when you get the ticket you can only have one of the 2 days Saturday Or Sunday.

So once you have applied for your tickets it is the waiting game of weather or not your going to get your tickets, but the 50% of the tickets will go to people living in the area and the other 50% up and down the UK but the closer the better!

With such an amazing Line Up it is no surprise that tickets avalible for the rest of the UK have already Sold Out, but tickets for Hackney and 5 other Olympic Boroughs are still avalible, the 5 Olympic Boroughs are Barking and Dagenham, Greenwich, Newham, Tower Hamlets and Waltham Forest, can all still apply for tickets.
